Gatwick and Luton voted top airports in Conde Nast awards
London's Gatwick and Luton Airports have been voted as two of the UK's top airports by Conde Nast Traveller readers.
The two airports appeared in the top five UK airports at the magazine's 2019 Readers' Choice Awards.
The prestigious awards - which are among the longest-running in the travel industry - recognise the world's most elite hotels, destinations, spas, cruises and airports.
More than 600,000 readers of Conde Nast Traveller, a high-end glossy travel magazine, shared their experiences to establish the winners in each category.
The UK's top five airports, as rated by Conde Nast Traveller readers, were:
1. London Heathrow
2. London Gatwick
3. Manchester Airport
4. London Luton
5. London Stansted
Clare Armstrong, Head of Passenger Services at London Luton Airport, said: “This result is a fantastic indication that our passengers are feeling the benefits of our newly transformed terminal building.
"We’re at an exciting new chapter in our 81-year history and are continually looking for ways to improve the experience for passengers using the airport.”
